Diana Shipping secures time charter contract from Cargill

Greek dry bulk operator Diana Shipping has entered into a time charter contract with commodity trader Cargill for 2015-built 180,960 dwt capesize dry bulk vessel New Orleans.

The gross charter rate is $15,000 per day for a period of 16 months to 19 months commencing from April 10.

Diana Shipping expects the contract to generate approximately $6.98m of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled contract period.

Last month, Diana Shipping fixed a time contract with Cargill for 2005-built capesize Salt Lake City at a much lower rate.

This week, Diana Shipping also secured a contract extension from Uniper for its 2013-built post-panamax bulker Phaidra.
