London-based containership owner Global Ship Lease has sealed a 30- to 38-month charter with Maersk Line for 2000-built 5,936 teu containership Tasman.
.The charter will commence in July after the vessel’s current charter with Israel’s Zim ends. The new charter includes a 12-month extension option and is valued at around $5.3m.

Global Ship Lease recently completed a merger with Poseidon Containers, growing its fleet from 19 vessels to 38 vessels.
