Konig & Cie suezmaxes recirculated for sale

Banks are recirculating four suezmaxes that belong to Germany’s Konig & Cie. The 159,200 dwt Cape Bonny, Cape Bari, Cape Bastia and Cape Brindisi, all built in 2005 at Hyundai Heavy Industries, are now going for $21m each.

In early April Greek oufit Transmed was reported to be in sales talks for the quartet, but the ships were soon circulated for sale again. They have been for sale since March, initially priced at just $19m each.

Greece’s Unibros Shipping has also been linked with taking all four en bloc in recent weeks in another deal that fell through.
