Jack Up Barge secures accommodation platform contract from Van Oord

Dutch offshore platform operator Jack Up Barge (JUB) has entered into a contract with Van Oord Offshore Wind for accommodation services at the Deutsche Bucht offshore wind farm.

Van Oord is currently carrying out balance of plant activities at the wind farm for Northland Power.

JUB will deploy its 2009-built self-elevating jackup platform JB-115 for the project, after the unit recently completed a similar assignment at the Danish Kriegers Flak wind farm.

The unit will provide offshore accommodation for around 100 people and deliver crane assistance with full coverage of the topside platform using its 300 tonne crane.

JUB currently operates a fleet of five jackup platforms.
