Technomar takes post-panamax boxship pair from Zeaborn

George Youroukos-owned Technomar Shipping has acquired two post-panamax containerships from German company Zeaborn.

According to shipbroking sources, the two 2004 Hyundai Heavy-built 7,849 teu ships E.R. Santa Barbara and E.R. Montecito were sold to the Greek owner for a price of $15.5m each. The deal also includes a charter arrangement.

Technomar has been increasing its containership fleet in the past year, having acquired a number of secondhand ships from German owners.

VesselsValue data shows the company’s owned fleet now consists of 25 bulkers and 15 containerships.
