Andreas Sohmen-Pao takes over as chair at Epic Gas

Following its recently concluded takeover by BW Group, Epic Gas announced today that Charles Maltby has been replaced as chairman by Andreas Sohmen-Pao. Maltby, who has been with Epic since 2014, will remain as a board member and a CEO. In addition, Esben Poulsson, the head of the Singapore Shipping Association, has been appointed as an independent non-executive director.

Maltby commented today in a release sent to the Oslo Bors: “Andreas brings unmatched industry knowledge and insight and will be a tremendous asset in leading our board.”

Epic Gas officials have stressed that the company will retain its own branding despite the BW takeover.
