UK-based engineering and manufacturing company Osbit has secured a contract from Fortress Transportation and Infrastructure Investors (FTAI) to construct and supply a well intervention tower.
The tower will be installed on FTAI’s flagship offshore construction vessel, the M/V Pride, and will enable the vessel to conduct open-water or riser-based well intervention and decommissioning in water depths up to 1,500m.
“We are very pleased to have awarded the build of the intervention tower, and we look forward to working with Osbit to develop the tower and transform the Pride into a world class well intervention vessel,” said Jon Attenburrow, managing director of FTAI.
FTAI Ocean, a wholly owned subsidiary of FTAI, owns and operates a fleet of three offshore vessels used in the IMR, subsea construction, well intervention and decommissioning markets.
