Jens and Waller takes Vroon feedermax

German owner Jens and Waller Reederei has acquired a 2007-built feedermax boxship from Dutch owner Vroon.

According to shipbroking sources, Vroon sold the Chinese-built 1,118 teu Max Centaur to Jens and Waller for a price of $5.7m. The vessel has been renamed Jette.

The latest acquisition has increased Jens and Waller’s fleet to 10 feedermax boxships.

Jens and Waller Reederei is a family-owned shipping business with a history of more than 80 years. The company has been operating as a pure containership owner since 1978.
