CSBC DEME jv secures wind farm contract
CSBC-DEME Wind Engineering, a joint venture between Belgian company DEME Group and Taiwanese shipbuilder CSBC Corporation, has signed a contract with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) to transport and install wind turbines for two offshore wind projects in Taiwan.
CIP is currently developing three offshore wind projects off the Changhua coast in the Taiwan Strait with a combined capacity of 1.5GW.
The new contract is for Changfang and Xidao wind farms, which will comprise 62 wind turbines. Both wind farms will feature MHI Vestas turbines.
Last week, DEME also secured a wind turbine transport and installation contract from Danish energy firm Ørsted.
