Wisdom Marine orders two handymax bulkers at Imabari

Taiwanese bulker owner Wisdom Marine has approved a plan to order two 37,800 dwt handymax bulk carrier at Japan’s Imabari Shipbuilding.

The company is going to spend $50m in total for the two vessels.

Wisdom Marine is currently in the middle of a fleet optimisation progamme, and looking to dispose more ageing vessels this year.

The company currently operates a fleet of 130 vessels, including 119 self-owned vessels, and it also has 15 newbuildings on order currently.
