Andromeda Shipping picks up Great Eastern suezmax tanker

Greek tanker owner International Andromeda Shipping has acquired 2000-built suezmax tanker Jag Laadki, according to brokers.

Seasure Shipbroking and Advanced Shipping & Trading report that Andromeda has paid $13.2m to India’s Great Eastern Shipping for the NKK-built vessel. VesselsValue puts a value of just $9.7m on the vessel, the equivalent of its scrap value, while MSI values the ship at $13.6m.

Monaco-headquartered Andromeda currently has five tankers in its fleet, one of which is 1999-built suezmax tanker White Trader, built at the same yard as the Jag Laadki.
