Navios takes over ownership of Shoei Kisen panamax

Angeliki Frangou-led Navios has acquired the 2014-built panamax bulker Sea Victory from Japanese owner Shoei Kisen.

The vessel is currently chartered to Navios and according to shipbroking sources, Navios has exercised an option to acquire the 77,100 dwt Japanese-built vessel for a price of $14.5m. VesselsValue‘s valuation of the vessel is $21.03m.

Navios Group currently owns a fleet of 143 vessels, made up of 69 bulkers, 31 containerships and 43 tankers.

Last month, the company ordered an optional VLCC at Japan’s Imabari Shipbuilding.
