Israeli armed forces storm MSC boxship

Israel Defence Forces stormed a boxship anchored off Haifa yesterday after a Turkish immigrant was found to have started a fire on the vessel.

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) released aerial footage showing naval forces boarding the 2,600 teu MSC Canberra, anchored near Israel’s top port after crew onboard had radioed in the arson attack to local authorities. The Turkish national was seized and taken onshore. Damage to the ship was reported as minimal.
