Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG) has appointed Gu Jinshan as the new president of the group.
Gu will take over the position left by Chen Xuyuan, who has taken a new role to head up the China Football Association.
Gu comes from a government background, and before joining SIPG he served as the vice secretary general of Shanghai government and director of the Shanghai Municipal Ocean Bureau.
