Fresh Carriers orders three reefers
Tokyo-based Fresh Carriers has placed orders for three conventional reefer ships at Japan’s Kitanihon Shipbuilding.
Scheduled for delivery in 2020 and 2021, the mid-sized vessels will have a cargo capacity of approximately 570,000 cu ft bale. According to the latest report from Alphaliner, the vessels are designed to carry high-cube pallets underdeck and high-cube containers on deck. The ships will be fully-geared with three centre-line cranes
Fresh Carriers’ new vessels will be deployed on the New Zealand – East Asia (Japan) trade, where the company predominantly carries Kiwi fruit and other agricultural exports.
