Offshore vessel operator Emas Offshore, part of Singapore’s Ezra Holdings, has announced that together with its subsidiaries it has filed an application in the High Court of Singapore to be placed under judicial management.
The move will protect the company from being wound up while the judicial managers try and stabilise the company.
Emas Offshore has been struggling since parent Ezra Holdings filed for chapter 11 in the US in March 2017. Ezra Holdings had a rescue deal fall through in July 2018 and also looks to be headed for judicial management.
Multiple deals to rescue Emas Offshore have also failed, with Udenna in the Philippines and Singapore’s BT Technologies both pulling the plug on potential investments.
