Capital improves charter rates for suezmax pair

Athens: Capital Product Partners has secured new time charter contracts for a pair suezmax crude oil tankers, Amore Mio II (159,982 dwt, built 2001) and Amoureux (149,993 dwt, built 2008), at increased day rates starting from April.

Amore Mio II will continue its employment with sponsor Capital Maritime & Trading for 12-14 months at a new gross daily rate of $27,000, up from $17,000.

Amoureux has secured a new two year charter with Sweden’s Stena Bulk at a gross daily rate of $29,000, up from the $24,000 currently being paid by Capital Maritime & Trading.

Capital Product Partners owns a fleet of 30 vessels, four of which are suezmaxes.
