Siem Meling Offshore PSV chartered for Triton operations

Oslo: Norway’s Siem Offshore has said today that Siem Meling Offshore, its jv with O.H. Meling & Co, has chartered out PSV Siem Pilot (5,000dwt, built 2010) to the Norwegian Ministry of Justice and Public Security.

The charter commences on May 20, and is for a period of six months with further options. Siem Offshore said that pricing is at market terms.

The vessel will be used in border control, search and rescue operations in the Mediterranean Sea under the Triton operation conducted by Frontex, the European Union’s border security agency.
