Prosafe scores three-year Petrobras charter

Norway’s Prosafe has been awarded a three-year charter contract by Petrobras Netherlands for the provision of semi-submersible accommodation vessel Safe Eurus.

The contract will commence during the first quarter of 2017, with the vessel currently under construction at COSCO Qidong, and will be used for safety and maintenance support offshore Brazil.

The contract value is around $164m, and Safe Eurus will become the second Prosafe vessel under charter to Petrobras.

Safe Eurus can accommodate up to 500 people, and in addition to a large capacity open deck area the vessel will provide Petrobras with 300 tonne lift capability.

Comments

  1. Hoping it has a better hull than their Ningaloo vision. Msjor weld defects port / starboard/ and bottom plates. Never repaired from Subic shipyard. When full location reports were presented. Typical of Prosafe.
