Aban Offshore secures contracts for three jackups

Indian drilling contractor Aban Offshore has received a letter of award, via subsidiary Deep Drilling 1, for the deployment of three jackup rigs.

Two of the rigs have secured contracts for a firm period of four years each commencing in the fourth quarter, while the other rig has been awarded a three-year contract which is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2019.

Aban Offshore currently operates a fleet of 15 jackup rigs and two drillships.
