ABB renews Topaz Installer contract for wind farm support

United Arab Emirates offshore operator Topaz Energy and Marine has announced that ABB has renewed a long standing contract for cable laying vessel Topaz Installer.

The vessel, which is operating in support of wind farms in the North Sea, has been renewed for one year with further options available for at least 12 months.

René Kofod-Olsen, chief executive officer of Topaz Energy and Marine, commented: “We are pleased to be renewing our partnership with ABB which is built on many years of close cooperation. We are looking forward to continuing our work with ABB and the continued provision of exceptional and cost-effective services.”

The vessel was first contracted to ABB in 2010.

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List.
