ABN Amro cooperates with Sinosure

Beijing: Dutch bank ABN Amro has signed a memorandum of understanding with China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation (Sinosure) for the development of shipping and offshore businesses.

ABN Amro will provide local and sector knowledge in shipping and offshore transactions and medium and long-term financing to Chinese companies, guaranteed by Sinosure.

Sinosure is a state-funded policy-oriented insurance company, which started operations in 2001. The two companies cooperated on a $78m containership loan deal for UASC in 2012.
