Abu Dhabi Ports eyes expansion overseas

The Middle East could have another global terminal operator soon. The head of Abu Dhabi Ports has hinted it is ready to join compatriots DP World and Gulftainer in expanding overseas.

Captain Mohammad Juma Al Shamisi, the CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports, told Gulf News his company was looking at international acquisitions. The ports firm has just taken over a concession at Fujairah, while currently it has just one overseas terminal, in the republic of Guinea.

“The future is bright,” Al Shamisi said.
