Abu Sayyaf linked with another kidnapping

Philippine militant group Abu Sayyaf is strongly linked with the kidnapping of four Malaysian crew on Friday night. Eight Filipino gunmen in a speedboat boarded the Malaysian flagged tugboat Massive 6 off the east coast of Sabah and took four men hostage, heading back towards Philippine waters.

Abu Sayyaf has yet to comment on the kidnapping. Last Monday the group kidnapped 10 Indonesian crewmembers from a Taiwanese tugboat and are demanding $1m in ransom.
