Abu Sayyaf return hijacked tug, crew still held captive

Abu Sayyaf militants have returned the tugboat Massive 6 to owners Highline Shipping 12 days after it was taken off Sabah. Four Malaysian crew, abducted by the Philippine militant group, have yet to be released however, although local media suggests the crew are safe.

The tug was attacked while hauling a barge of coal on April 1 near Pulau Ligitan.

Abu Sayyaf have also 10 Indonesian hostages from another tugboat attack 16 days ago.
