Acta Marine orders CSV at Ulstein

Netherlands-based offshore vessel operator Acta Marine has signed a contract with Norwegian yard Ulstein Verft to build a construction support vessel (CSV).

The new CSV will be capable of taking on assignments in commissioning and construction in the offshore wind farm installation phase, and perform maintenance tasks on completed wind farms.

The vessel is scheduled for delivery early 2018.

“We are expanding our services and fleet for offshore wind and this vessel will be the next level in the market and very well suited to operate in the offshore, and specifically the renewable, market,” said Rob Boer, managing director in Acta Marine.

Acta Marine currently operates a fleet of 45 support vessels.
