Adani adding ship recycling plant at Mundra

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone is bolstering facilities at one of its flagship facilities by adding a ship recycling plant at its port in Mundra, Gujarat.

The 40 ha site promises to be one of the greenest ship recycling sites in South Asia and will handle vessels of up to 80,000 dwt. It has just received the necessary greenlight from authorities to go ahead.

Mundra is the largest private port of India located on the north shores of the Gulf of Kutch. Two years ago it became the first Indian port to surpass 100m tonnes of cargo in a year.
