Additional lanes given to trucks in Manila

Manila: Additional lanes have been given to cargo following the requests of the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), as part of continuing efforts to decongest Manila’s ports. The additional truck lane, operating 24 hours, extends from the Manila port going to Southern Metro Manila via Roxas Boulevard.

Authorities in Manila reckon it will take another three months before the capital’s ports get back to normal operations. The congestion came from a truck ban put in place by the Mayor of Manila in February.  [25/08/14]
