ADNOC orders nine AHTSs at Sinopacific

Athens: Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has placed an ordered with China’s Sinopacific Shipbuilding for nine anchor handling tug supply vessels.

All nine vessels will be delivered in 2017. The value of the contract was not disclosed.

The tender for the contract was launched by ADNOC in 2013, but the company handed it over to its subsidiary ESNAAD, through which the order was placed.

The AHTSs will be built to Sinopacific’s own SPA80A design with electric propulsion system and a bollard pull of 80 tonnes.
