Advantage Tankers makes products foray

Geneva-based Advantage Tankers has entered the products sector, taking a fleet of handies that were under bank control. Clarkson Research reports the Baltic Merchant, Baltic Marshall, Baltic Ambition, Baltic Faith and Baltic Force were sold for an en bloc price of $58m.

The ships – formerly part of the Clearwater Marine Investments fleet – were all built at Hyundai Mipo in 2006. The vessels are now fixed on three-year time charters.

Founded in 2014, Advantage Tankers also boasts five aframaxes and six suezmaxes.
