AET Tanker adds another shuttle tanker at Samsung Heavy

MISC subsidiary AET Tankers has placed a new shipbuilding order at South Korean yard Samsung Heavy Industry for the construction of a 152,700 dwt suezmax shuttle tanker.

This latest contract follows AET ordering four shuttle tankers at the yard in May. Including the new contract, AET has a total of seven tankers on order at Samsung.

The value of the contract was not disclosed, however Samsung Heavy said the price of the new ship is slightly higher than the previous order.

AET currently operates a fleet of 66 tankers.
