Kuala Lumpur: Alam Maritim Resources is looking to buy a modern diving support ship worth up to $80m. A ship has been identified, coo Shaharuddin Rahmad told local paper StarBiz. Financing for the ship will come from loans and a possible new share sale.
The group’s subsea division generated revenue of about RM100m in the last financial year.
The bulk of Alam Maritim revenue and earnings comes from its OSV division, which has an order book of RM1.2bn. [07/04/14]
