Alam Maritim sets out for more business

Kuala Lumpur: Alam Maritim Resources is going to have a big reorganisation of its offshore, installation and construction (OIC) and subsea business and offshore marine division to ensure the productive utilisation rate of its support vessels rises from 80% to 89%.

Alam Maritim  is bidding for various contracts in the Middle East and Africa through its joint-venture partner Global Marine Services of Saudi Arabia.

There is still speculation that Ekuiti Nasional Bhd (Ekuinas) might mount a bid for Alam Maritim, but this possibility has been dismissed by senior management.

Alam Maritim’s orderbook stands at RM1.1bn and it has tendered for contracts worth RM2bn.  [29/01/13]
