Alam Maritime OSV chartered to Allianz in the UAE

UAE-based marine contractor Allianz Middle East Ship Management has timechartered a safety standby rescue vessel from Workboat International DMCCO, part of Malaysia-listed Alam Maritim Resources.

The Setia Emas (860 dwt, built 2004) has been fixed on a three-year contract, which includes a two-year extension option.

The deal could generate up to RM 40.7m ($10.6m) for Alam Maritime, if the optional period is exercised.

Allianz Middle East Ship Management provides offshore support vessels (OSVs) and diving services to the region’s offshore oil and gas industry. The company owns, manages and operates a fleet of modern OSVs and barges.
