Alam Maritime wins ExxonMobil vessel charter deal

Kuala Lumpur: Malaysian offshore vessel operator Alam Maritim has received a letter of award from ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Malaysia for the provision of an accommodation work vessel for Tapis EOR Brownfield Modifications and Retrofits Project.

The contract is for the vessel Setia Station 2, which will go out on time charter for a period of three months effective January 31st, 2015. The contract value is RM9,918,000 ($2.74m).

The deal is the second announced by Alam Maritim this year, having earlier announced a contract for the provision of air/saturation diving services for an inshore repair and maintenance project in Kedah.
