Alam Swiber Offshore wins Chevron subsea pipeline installation contract

Kuala Lumpur: Offshore operator Alam Maritim Resources has announced that its joint venture with Singapore’s Swiber, Alam Swiber Offshore, has won a subsea installation contract from Chevron Malaysia.

Alam Swiber Offshore, which was formed in 2009, will install a replacement subsea pipeline at Chevron’s Prai Terminal, with work commencing this month.

The contract is valued at around RM22m ($5.9m) and the project is expected to be completed before the end of the year.
