Alewijnse wins Malaysian FPSO contract
Singapore: Just as it announced its intentions to set up offices in Singapore and Malaysia, Dutch firm Alewijnse Marine Systems has won a contract to work on the electrical maintenance of an FPSO in Malaysia.
Under the agreement Alewijnse will be responsible for a substantial part of the electrical maintenance work planned for the FPSO Perintis which is currently birthed at Johor Port. During the project Alewijnse Marine Malaysia will work alongside partner Willtech Asia, a mechanical engineering firm. The project is scheduled to take 45 days.
Alewijnse will officially launch its new Malaysia and Singapore subsidiaries next month at the Asia Pacific Maritime exhibition taking place at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
“This contract with M3energy represents a flying start for the new ventures,” the Dutch firm said in a release. [26/02/14]
