Alios Bulkers acquires Japanese kamsarmax pair

Stavros Livanos-controlled Alios Bulkers has acquired two kamsarmax bulk carriers from two Japanese firms.

Shipbroking house Intermodal reports that the company acquired the 2018-built 82,000 dwt Aquila Ocean from ORIX Corp and the 2019-built 81,600 dwt Atlantic Samurai from Sugahara Kisen.

The company’s website confirms that the two vessels have been added to the company’s fleet. The price of each deals was not disclosed. VesselsValue‘s valuation on Aquila Ocean and Atlantic Samurai is $28.81m and $30.2m respectively.

Alios Bulkers currently owns a fleet of five vessels made up of three panamax bulkers and two kamsarmax bulkers.
