Amoretti Armatori orders chemical tanker pair at Xinle Shipbuilding

Italian tanker owner Amoretti Armatori Group, controlled by the Amoretti family, has signed newbuilding contracts with Ningbo Xinle Shipbuilding for the construction of two 4,500 dwt chemical tankers.

Construction will start in the first half of this year and delivery is scheduled in 2020.

It is the Italian owner’s first newbuilding order in nearly ten years. The company currently operates a fleet of 11 tankers with capacity ranging from 2,700 dwt to 30,000 dwt.

Ningbo Xinle specialises in small chemical construction and it now has 13 chemical tankers on its orderbook.
