AMPTC takes suezmax options

Arab Maritime Petroleum Transport Co (AMPTC) has exercised options for a pair of coated suezmaxes at South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI). The options stem from a contract signed last March for two firm 159,000 dwt ships. The options are slated for delivery in mid-2018.

In total AMPTC has six suezmaxes on order at HHI. The ships are all being built to ice-class 1C specification.
