Eirik Andreassen to leave VPS ceo role

Rotterdam: Veritas Petroleum Services (VPS) has announced that Eirik Andreassen has stepped down from the role of ceo, and will be replaced by Gerard Rohaan.

Rohaan will begin with VPS on 1st May, while Andreassen will stay on with the fuel testing specialist until the end of the year in an advisory role.

Rohaan joins from technical service provider Stork, and has previously worked with Shell, McKinsey & Company and Unilever in various senior management positions.

John Notman-Watt, chairman of VPS, “I would like to thank Eirik for his efforts over the last four years in VPS, and particularly for the work he has done as CEO during the exit from DNV and the transition to an independent company. VPS has a strong market position, which our Shareholder expects to further expand. In this new phase of the company, the Board of Management will focus on international growth.”

Grant Rowles

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List. In 2009 Grant joined Seatrade responsible for the commercial development of Seatrade’s Asia products. In 2012, with Sam Chambers, he co-founded Asia Shipping Media.
