Angelicoussis adds another LNG carrier at DSME

Greek owner Angelicoussis Shipping Group’s LNG unit Maran Gas Maritime has placed an order for one additional 174,000 cu m LNG carrier at South Korea’s Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME).

The order comes shortly after Maran ordered two 174,000 cu m LNG carriers at the yard at the end of February for $380m in total.

The ship is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2022 and is John Angelicoussis’s 105th ship ordered at DSME since 1994.

Maran Gas currently owns a fleet 14 large LNG carriers and has another 13 vessels currently on order at DSME.
