Another Jakarta terminal to be built
Jakarta: As Jakarta works on its new giant Kalibaru terminal to ease congestion at Tanjung Priok, the incoming new president, Joko Widodo has greenlighted a new port project in the Marunda rea of north Jakarta.
The new port, costing some $95m, will be developed by state-owned PT Kawasan Berikat Nusantara (KBN), the operator of the industrial bonded zone in North Jakarta. The port will be spread over 140,000 sq m and construction is expected to start immediately. [15/08/14]
