Antwerp and Zeebrugge ports discuss merger

Amid enormous competion across northern Europe, the Belgian ports of Antwerp and Zeebrugge are in discussions over a possible merger, something that could take another two years to compete.

“[T]he current cooperation between the two ports has little impact because of the existing competition, limited scope and low engagement,” the ports’ stated on Friday.
