Anwar wants Petronas to focus more on overseas acquistions

Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia’s opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim, who will challenge Prime Minister Najib Razak in polls early next year, has said he will force state energy giant Petronas to invest more overseas while limiting local exploration. This comes hot on the heels of Petronas’s big $5.2bn deal this month to acquire Canada’s shale-gas producer Progress Energy Resources Corp. this month.  [24/12/12]
