Aqaba port struggling to handle thousands of pilgrims

Cairo: The number of pilgrims stuck in the port of Aqaba, having failed to find ferry bookings post-Ramadan, is an acute worry, local authorities have warned. The Jordanian port is groaning under the abnormal volume of people seeking ways back home after the Hajj and the crush of people is expected to take at least a fortnight to clear.  [08/08/13]
