Arklow adds four more

Ireland’s Arklow Shipping has placed an order at Ferus Smit Shipyard for four 16,500 dwt bulk carriers for delivery in 2018 and 2019. The company already has nine 5,085 dwt general cargo vessels on order at the same yard.

Once all ships on order deliver, Arklow’s fleet will pass the 50-ship mark. The Irish company which also boasts a strong presence in Rotterdam celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
