Manila: Asian Terminals Inc is looking to expand overseas. The Manila-based terminal operator told the Philippine Stock Exchange, it would amend its second article of the articles of incorporation on primary purpose to allow them to expand abroad, which will involve the handling of containers, bulk liquid and dry cargoes, refrigerated warehousing facilities, warehousing and stevedoring, lightering, towing and/or storing of cargo handled, among others.
"The previous provision limited the business operations of the company within the Philippines. The above amendment will allow the company to expand and engage in business overseas," ATI said.
The amendment will be submitted for the approval of the stockholders on April 24.
The company currently operates in Manila and Batangas.
ATI will follow in the footsteps of compatriot International Containter Terminal Services Inc (ICTSI) which has built up a global network of ports. [25/02/14]
