ASM launches Asia Cruise News portal

Singapore: Today sees the latest product launch from fast growing Singapore-headquartered Asia Shipping Media.

Asia Cruise News (ACN) kicks off today promising to deliver exclusive, up-to-the-minute, daily content on the fastest growing region for cruise travel in the world. With correspondents from Dubai to Tokyo, ACN is unmatched in its reporting breadth.

With year-on-year growth in passenger numbers of more than 20% since 2007, forecasts suggest in the next three years the number of Asians expected to take a cruise will double.
To harness this growth the major lines are deploying larger and larger ships in the region, while Asian port cities are vying with one another for ever more impressive cruise facilities.
Contained on the site are daily news stories drawn from our network of 18 journalists as well as more in depth features in our In Focus section. A hard copy cruise annual publication is also envisaged as part of the ACN portfolio of products.

Today’s exclusive sees the head of Azamara Club Cruises discuss fleet expansion plans as well as the Asian market.

Asia Shipping Media’s co-founder Sam Chambers commented on the launch of ACN: “Despite having double digit growth figures for many years, Asia has been under represented in cruise coverage. With native speakers in 13 countries across Asia ACN is well placed to lead reporting on this fast emerging market.”
