ASRY targets Saudi business with new branch office

Dubai: Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard (ASRY)'s chief executive Chris Potter, noting a recovery in demand for ship repair this year, is opening a branch in Saudi Arabia to tap the region’s most important market for product and chemical tankers.

Potter reckoned his yard, despite facing intense competition from a whole host of new repair sites in the region, will handle between 220 and 240 ships and offshore platforms this year.  [23/05/13]
